Every year for one epic week in July, our church campus is transformed into an exciting and imaginative playground where kids and adults alike have a chance to experience real and transformative encounters with Jesus.
They get to…
- hear and be a part of what God is actively doing through missionaries right next door and in faraway lands
- be immersed in the stories of the Bible and personally connect with the people God chose to do His work
- piece together crafts to remind them of the Gospel message for years to come
- burn energy in extremely active games that build character and teamwork
- encounter God through worship and praise at the beginning and end of every night
- see Biblical truths come alive in an entertaining and relevant stage performance
- and get to know one another over delicious meals prepared by an amazing team
Sounds awesome, right? And most of the kids who participate in this epic week live around the community, which not only gives us the opportunity to get to know them, but also to tell them about Jesus maybe for the first time.
What makes our Vacation Bible School different from others is that it’s in the evening. This allows the opportunity for not just kids to be involved, but also their parents AND grandparents to share and experience the variety of activities VBS has to offer.
AND YOU’RE INVITED! Whether you’re 8 or 82, there’s a place for you at VBS. Register your kids and sign yourself up to volunteer as you feel led! We have Mini VBS childcare available for volunteers who have kids below kindergarten. Elementary age kids experience everything mentioned above and so much more. Our Jr. High program spends the week focusing on a special service project in addition to biblical teaching and epic recreational games. High School students learn leadership skills as they guide groups of kids through VBS stations and talk with them about biblical truths.
Whether you have young kids, grown kids or no kids, we would LOVE for you to be a part of this amazing week. As a volunteer, you can choose where you want to serve based on your comfort level and the best fit. We have an assortment of teams to choose from – Dinner, Bible, Crafts, Recreation, Grade/Guide Leaders, Missions, Worship or Skits. Not sure where to start? Or do you want to know more? This year’s theme is In the Wild where we grab our cameras and trek through a safari of encounters with Jesus along His life and ministry.
