Pastor Bobby Schuller continues his series entitled “Hope in Your Winter” on the third Sunday of Advent with the message “Receive God’s Gift for You” at Shepherd’s Grove on December 11, 2016.
In this series, Bobby stresses the importance of facing our fears. Especially for those of us who worry on a regular basis, this is our time to open our eyes and heart to receive good things; stop always looking for the bad. Bobby alludes to multiple stories such as Aladdin, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars to accentuate the theme of the main character going through challenging obstacles to come out victorious. He mentions these spectacular journeys to emphasize that doing things that scare you train fear out of your life. You will beat your monster, and your monster will make you better.
