Irvine National
Day of Prayer Service
May 5, 2022, 7:00-8:00PM
All throughout the Bible and throughout our world's history, God moves powerfully when His people pray! Let's come together for Irvine’s National Day of Prayer event on Thursday, May 5th from 7-8PM, and watch as our faith-filled prayers move mountains.
God said in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
This is the time to stand in unity and intercede for healing throughout our families, businesses, government, schools, churches, military and entertainment industry. We will gather with other churches, ministries, and city officials to bless our nation, state, city leadership, and people of Irvine! Our Mayor, Chief of Police, and other public leaders typically attend, along with many from the community. This event is free and open to everyone.
History: The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. In 1988, President Ronald Reagan signed into law specifically designating the first Thursday in May for its annual observance, reaffirmed by President Bill Clinton in 1998.
Vision: Glorify God and unify public and personal prayer for America; to bless our nation, state, county, and city—its leaders and its people.
