Did you know that 1 in 7 kids in the world suffers from the effects of food insecurity, living in a chronic state of malnutrition? Through the OneMeal program, tens of thousands of impoverished children have a warm, nutritious meal EACH DAY.
Irvine Feeds The World is an annual family-friendly, meal-packaging extravaganza where volunteers from the local Irvine community, Love Irvine, churches, and other groups come together in unity to help end world hunger. In 2019 over 500 volunteers from all over the city, including Irvine Police Department, helped pack 62,424 meals to help fight world hunger through our partnership with Kids Around The World and their One Meal Program.
THIS September 24-26, SHEPHERD’SGROVE will again host Irvine Feeds The World. We have a big goal–100,000 meals which we can achieve with your help!
History of Irvine Feeds The World:
June 3, 2018, 10,000 meals sent to Nicaragua.
September 14-16, 2018: 50,000 meals sent to South Africa.
September 27-29, 2019: 62,424 meals sent to the Bahamas for hurricane relief. (Surpassing our goal of 50,000 meals)
September 25-27, 2020: 16,900 meals (due to COVID-19 restrictions)

How You Can Help
You can contribute financially to this amazing cause. It costs just $0.27 to feed one hungry child, $50.00 will feed 185 hungry kids, $100 will feed 370 hungry kids, but any amount will help!

Kids Around the World empowers groups to be a part of the solution of childhood malnutrition. OneMeal food is packed and sponsored by partners and volunteers in the US at packing events across the country. Then it is shipped overseas to serve malnourished children in orphanages, schools, homes, churches, and community feeding centers. Kids Around the World creates a forum for concerned people in the US to be a part of the solution of childhood malnutrition. For our volunteers, coming together in a fun, high-energy, and meaningful service event to hand-pack millions of meals every year is a precious and impactful experience.
More about Kids Around The World, Inc. (KIDS): KIDS exists to reach children around the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to help those who work with children. KIDS is a faith-based non-profit organization dedicated to helping children and families who have been affected by war, poverty, illness, and natural disasters. Their home office is in Rockford, Illinois and their goal is to reach children around the world with the message of God’s love for them. To date, KIDS has built over 920 playgrounds and shipped over thirty-five million meals reaching over seven million children!
