Jesus is alive! Every year at Shepherd’s Grove, we anticipate celebrating the resurrection of our Savior in worship and through His Word. This year, we have a lot to be thankful for! As we come together as a family to celebrate our risen Lord, we gather as one newly-merged congregation, having made history over the course of the last twelve months. It was Palm Sunday of 2018 when we gathered at IPC for the first time and here we are, a year later, standing in awe of all that God has done in creating Shepherd’s Grove Presbyterian Church.
Today, I want to invite you to invite others to join us for Easter. All of us have friends and family members who don’t typically attend church but who may be open to visiting on Easter Sunday. Why not extend an invitation? To help you out, there will be a couple of special cards in your bulletin this weekend containing service times and dates. I encourage you to give them to whoever the Lord puts on your heart. Just think, if each one of us invites just one, there is the potential for thousands of people to meet Jesus. Isn’t that a great thought?
I also want to encourage you to consider serving with us on Easter Sunday. Since many new guests will be joining us, we need friendly hosts to welcome them to God’s House and offer them radical hospitality. If you would like to volunteer at one of more of the morning services, fill out this form and we will be in touch!
I look forward to worshipping with you this Easter as, together, we celebrate our new life in Jesus. And remember, God loves you and so do I!
