Even though we aren’t meeting in person, the church is ALIVE! You can still serve with us this month at our drive-up clothing drive on Saturday, August 29th, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This drive will benefit Second Impressions Thrift Store. All YOU have to do is load your donation in your trunk and when you drive up we will collect it! Social distancing guidelines will be followed at all times. Item needed include: new or gently used men’s, women’s, children’s clothing. Also needed are shoes and accessories. Please note that all clothing must be in very good condition which means no rips, stains, tears, stretched out or fading. If you want to volunteer to unload cars and sort clothes for this event, please contact Curtis Drever, Director of Missions and Local Outreach at curtis@sgp.church.
Second Impressions is a boutique-style resale thrift store with a cause to move the gospel forward. In their 3,000 square foot showroom, they sell gently-used donated items, which help benefit three ministries!
The sales benefit Cross to Light, specifically with their jewelry sales, which helps aid in building water wells on Cross to Light church plants in Haiti. They also benefit Safe Harbor International, which specifically helps fund missionary efforts at a women’s home in El Salvador (Hope House) and Homeless Ministry of South OC, who provides bi-weekly bible studies, delivery of clothing, blankets, toiletries, etc and a work program for the homeless.
