Clean Comedy for a Cause Was a Success!

Clean Comedy for a Cause was a huge success! Approximately 350 people enjoyed eating tacos, socializing with one another, meeting the 2/11 Marines and their families, and of course, laughing a lot at the comedy show, which featured Nazareth and Josh Novey!

Love Irvine was very excited to host and organize this event, which was a fundraiser for the Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee (IMAC), which all goes to support the 2/11 Marines out of Camp Pendleton.

Speaking with Tina Anderson, President of IMAC, she told me that Lt. Col. Colwell (the commanding officer of the 2/11), his family, and many others from the battalion had a great time. In fact, all the young Marines seemed to enjoy the tacos, cookies, and comedy! One lady stopped me afterwards and said she enjoyed it so much that we should do it again!

As the host for the event, it brought me great joy seeing the community come together to make this happen. Tina and other IMAC volunteers expressed their sincerely appreciation to Love Irvine for all the exposure and support the event gave them, including new followers on their social media and almost $2,000 in donations. This may not sound like much, but it was the first time they’ve ever hosted a fundraiser, and it’s already been a great help to the Marines. Thanks to everyone who came out — I hope to see you again soon!
